Looking for compact led keyboard

Postby pinooooo » 25 Jan 2012 14:38

First, modernator, please add a "Input devices" to the board index.

Second,
I am ordering some HTPC stuff atm. i already got a Asrock Z68 ITX/HT mobo, and a Pentium G620 on the way. ;)

But i can'f find a suitable nice priced keyboard.
i have a few demands:
1.Compact, i prefer a keyboard like 10" netbooks have, but a bigger compact keyboard like the Logitech K360 is also acceptable.
2. Lighted keys, one way or another, i need to be able to see the keys when i only have a tv on.
3. below 35 euro's.
wireless would be nice but not a demand.

My biggest problem with trying to find the perfect keyboard is not having "lighted keys" in the option selection list on compare websites.

maybe you guy's can help me out.

Not sure you are going to find one to your specs too easily. Most mini keyboards do not have LED backlights the only ones I do know are all really expensive because they are Mechanical (Deck Ice 82, Noppo Choc Mini). Otherwise you may have to go for something slightly larger or just get a book lamp or LED strip or something to attach to a smaller keyboard.

Steve has to put a new section in. I could point you to Geekhack forums who are keyboard enthusiasts who might be able to point you in a much closer direction than I could. Here is one I found while browsing briefly. Not sure where you can buy overseas, but it is similar to your pricepoint without backlighting on the logitech site.
i7 2600K, 580 gtx SC, Foxconn H67S, 8gb 1333 Corsair XMS3, 64gb Crucial M4, 1TB Cav Black,
Corsair HX750 psu, Lian Li PC-T7b, Cyborg R.A.T.7 mouse, Daskeyboard Ultimate S

So, I am going to wire in a few LED lights inside my car. I am planning just to wire them straight to my battery and use a rocker switch so I can turn them off and on. Some one told me I should throw in an In-line fuse to help protect it. What is an in-line fuse, what does it do and if I don't put one in will it be a problem?
