SG06-450 vs. SG08 - what should I get?

Postby ind1g0 » 05 Mar 2012 13:30

I'm trying to decide between the SG06-450 and the SG08. I have a GTX460 that will fit fine in the SG06 so I don't require the extra length of the SG08. Is having the PSU in the front a huge advantage of the SG08 and is the cooling better? Does the SG08 fit a stock CPU cooler? I do not plan to overclock. I'd like to keep the case as small as possible as that is the point of a mini-ITX build. Does anyone have experience with either case?

The SG06-450 is $50 cheaper on newegg right now.

I have the SG08 and really unless you want to easily fit a large GPU or cooler there is not much point. As you said the SG06 is smaller and cheaper and if its enough for you then go for it.

Don't know if you've already purchased your case since this thread's a bit old, but if you want to save money you may want to consider the SG05. Same case as SG06 but with a different front. It is cheaper, however. The different front allows more airflow, but at a tiny bit higher noise. Another way to save money is to order it through Amazon. Usually they're the same price as Newegg, but with free shipping.
